Betty Elee
Education and Experience

Betty has been active with international and domestic youth/service ministry for ten years. She has embarked on church missionary trips to Guatemala and Mexico, as well as served with the Missionaries of Charity in the Bronx, New York, and Washington, D.C. For Betty, assisting her youth group in the fundraising efforts and regular prayer/reflection gatherings stimulated her personal and spiritual growth right into her university years. Throughout the university years, she helped develop an online, national Eastern Christian newsletter, wrote for local Eastern Catholic newspapers, and sought to bolster student attendance of the annual D.C. March for Life. In May 2008, Betty graduated from Duquesne University with a dual B.A. in psychology and English. She intends to enter a graduate psychology program in future years.
Betty’s strengths are varied: international and domestic ministry, all things writing and editing oriented, working with diverse or underserved communities, and counseling others in need.
Personal
Betty is a native of Cleveland and now lives in Washington, D.C. She loves the jazz and ethnic food scene available in the District. Overall, Betty looks forward to working at the NFCYM as one of its youngest and liveliest members!
