Ruby Mikell

Education and Experience
Ruby has been a staff member of the NFCYM since September 1988. She has played many roles on the staff moving from part-time secretary to currently serving as the director of operations. She is responsible for the operating finances of the office, layout/design and editing of publications, and overseeing daily operations of the office. Her first full-time employment (lasting five years) was as a secretary at the Executive Office of the President's Office of Management of Budget. She worked there from 1983-1988.
Ruby holds a bachelor of science degree in printing management. August 2010, she begins work on a master's degree in publication design.
Personal
Ruby is listed as a "genteel motivator" in The Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha: A History of America's First Black Sorority (© 2010). She is featured as a "Sister Friend" in Pearls of Service: The Legacy of America's First Black Sorority—Alpha Kappa Alpha (© 2006).
Ruby is the proud mother of three adult children: a singleton (daughter) and a set of twins (son and daughter).
