Associate Director Office of Youth Ministry (Archdiocese of New York)

The Archdiocese of New York is seeking a passionate individual to serve as the Associate Director of the Office of Youth Ministry. The Associate Director is a critical part in a collaborative team contributing the Archdiocesan initiatives in ministry to youth of high school age. Along with the Director, this person is a key advocate of the vision of youth ministry set out by the Archbishop of New York. This person works to implement this vision through leadership development with adult youth leaders and through direct services to young people.

Key Qualifications:

·         Passionate about the role of youth ministry in parish communities
·         Five-years parish youth ministry experience (combination of parish/diocesan considered)
·         Master’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or secondary education
·         Experience in training/formation of adults
·         Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Associate Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries (Diocese of Baton Rouge)

Education and Experience Requirements

Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education or a related field required. Minimum of five years direct experience at the parish or diocesan level working with youth ministry programs, adolescents, young adults, and adults who minister to youth. National certification in Youth Ministry preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of the United States Catholic Bishops’ document “Renewing the Vision” and pertinent documents and their application in ministry with young people in the United States is required.  Due to the nature of this position, it is required that the incumbent be a practicing Roman Catholic who is registered and active in a parish and possesses a working knowledge of Catholic teachings and doctrine.

Director of Campus, Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Shreveport)

The Diocese of Shreveport is currently seeking a dynamic individual for our Director of Campus, Youth and Young Adult Ministry or Director of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry. This person is responsible for implementing the diocese’s pastoral plan for youth and young adults in a framework that promotes lifelong formation in faith.  The Director of Campus, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry (Dir. of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry) assists the bishop in advocating a vision of comprehensive youth ministry (6th through 12th grade) that is goal directed, as well as effective college and young adult evangelization (post college) within the diocese.  This includes gathered diocesan, regional and national events, prayer opportunities, leadership development, missionary service to others, and coordinating ongoing formation for parish youth and young adult leaders and campus ministers.


Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Theology, Catechesis, Youth Ministry or Pastoral Ministry; Masters Degree preferred.  Significant knowledge of and experience working with youth and young adults. Minimum 3+ years in diocesan ministry or 5+ years in parish ministry.

Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Archdiocese of Philadelphia)

Oversees events including the Annual Archdiocesan Youth/Family Conference, Annual Archdiocesan Junior High/Family Conference, Regional Events, Youth Work Camp, World Youth Day, NET retreats, March for Life, NCYC, Annual Young Adult Retreat, Theology on Tap, and Service Opportunities for Young Adults. In addition the Director will oversee training in youth ministry including, regular youth ministry gatherings, annual youth minister retreat, support parishes in confirmation preparation, and oversee and pastor Young Adult Ministry team. Director, Office of Worship and Sacramental Formation (Archdiocese of Baltimore)

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is in search of a Director, Office of Worship and Sacramental Formation. The Director will serve as a resource to the Archbishop and to diocesan and parish leadership in ensuring that the New Evangelization is the lens through which worship and sacramental formation is viewed. Additional responsibilities include organizing, planning, and directing archdiocesan liturgies; as well as providing formation and resources on liturgical formation. The Director is responsible for working with parishes to provide sacramental catechesis for Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick. He or she is responsible for resourcing parish leadership on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The Director also works to foster participation of the faithful in the Liturgy of the Hours. The best qualified candidate will possess: a graduate degree in theology or a related field; at least 5 years of successful experience in parish sacramental formation and liturgical ministry; experience of collaboration with Catholic schools preferred, and a working knowledge of Spanish. In addition, the successful candidate should be a person of visible and demonstrated faith in the Catholic tradition, have knowledge and understanding of the Church’s liturgical documents, and have experience in and understanding of sacramental, mystagogical, and liturgical catechesis as well as RCIA. Regional Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Sacramento)

The Diocese seeks a passionate, self-starter to coordinate youth and young adult ministry in the Northern Counties of the Diocese of Sacramento. Home base of position is in Redding, California. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in parish ministry, experience working with youth in both the Hispanic and Anglo communities, and experience working with rural parishes.
