Research and Resources for Catholic Parenting
Web Resources
Our lives are connected. Cell phones, laptops, and other mobile devices provide us with more and more opportunities to connect to the Internet anywhere. Many people have 24-hour online access and the internet has become the “go to” place for information.
There are many parenting resources online and we know that parents do not have the time to sift through all the sites out there. We gathered some of our favorites and put them all in one place. You will find resources on marriage, parenting, and faith. There is even a site on how to build family relationships while preparing healthy family dinners.
Blogs
Blogs can be a great way for parents to connect with one another and stay updated on current issues. Access to the latest articles on parenting and youth culture, and the exchange of ideas on a blog can provide encouragement and support for busy parents. Check out our listing of blogs today.
Print Resources
Even with all the instant information available on the Internet, books are still in fashion. We have highlighted a few print resources. Take a look at our Web Resources section for links to some publishers and the variety of books and pamphlets they offer. Also, check out NFCYM's Online Store for more youth resources.
Music
Teenagers love music. A shared love of music can be a great way for parents to connect with their adolescent. Some parents find listening to Christian music at home or in the car to be a perfect way to reinforce their family’s values during everyday activities like driving to afterschool events. This section provides links to some Catholic/Christian music sites.
Also check out our Understanding Youth Culture section for links to secular music and movie reviews.
