Diocesan Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Great Falls-Billings)

The Diocese of Great Falls-Billings seeks a Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent skills in communication and will be responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic Youth and Young Adult Ministry for young Catholics, collaborating with parish ministry staff and pastors. A minimum of five years’ experience in Youth Ministry is preferred. Candidate must be an active Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred. Salary commensurate with experience; a full benefit package included. This is a full-time position with offices located in Great Falls, Montana, and requires an ability to drive long distances while functioning in remote rural areas as well as metropolitan areas. Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries (Archdiocese of Baltimore)

The Archbishop of Baltimore seeks a dynamic, creative and faith-filled person to lead the Division of Youth and Young Adult Ministry in supporting parish and school leaders in their efforts to develop adolescents and young adults as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries leads the Division staff and local youth and young adult ministers in setting a vision for ministry to the young church that guides them in moral and spiritual development and equips them for leadership and service to their church, their community, and the world. As a key leader in the Department of Evangelization, the Director will develop and implement policies and programs which contribute to the mission of the New Evangelization and the ongoing transformation of parishes into communities of missionary disciples. Preferred candidates will possess a minimum of five years' youth ministry experience, with two of those years in a diocesan role, as well as a master's degree in religious education, theology, or pastoral ministry. Diocesan Director of Religious Education (Archdiocese of Los Angeles)

Responsible for the vision, leadership and supervision of the religious education programs and processes of the Archdiocese. Directs directing staff of the Office of Religious Education, coordinating the formation of catechetical leaders and evaluating the effectiveness of catechetical ministries, The Director is assisted in this function by the Associate Directors. Facilitates collaboration and mutual support among the Adult/Young Adults, Youth ministry, Early Childhood, Elementary and Regional Divisions. Directs planning and supervision of the annual Religious Education Congress. Master’s Degree in Religious Education/Catholic Theology or equivalent. Director–Youth Ministry Services (Archdiocese of Seattle)

This diocesan position within the Office for Youth and Young Adult Evangelization (OYYAE) serves with faith communities to provide comprehensive youth ministry. There is an intentional focus on leadership formation and training, consultation and providing resources to ministry leaders as they seek to bring youth into a meaningful and transformative relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Ongoing advocacy for youth and youth ministry throughout the Archdiocese is also highlighted. Assistant Director of Catholic Youth Ministry (Diocese of Nashville)

The Diocese of Nashville is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Catholic Youth Ministry. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. The Catholic Youth Office is currently located at the Cathedral of the Incarnation on 2015 West End Avenue in Nashville and will be relocated to the new Catholic Pastoral Center located at 2800 McGavock Pike in Nashville in the spring of 2015. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with schedule flexibility needed to attend to evening or weekend youth activities. Primary functions of this position are to support the Director and Chaplain, facilitate the development of youth and young adult ministry in the parishes of the Diocese by serving as a resource, support, and communications link with the youth ministers within the Diocese; provide formation and collaborative opportunities for youth ministers; facilitate the preparation of SEARCH and actually direct four of them. Ministry Development Coordinator (Diocese of Buffalo)

The Diocese of Buffalo is currently seeking a full-time Ministry Development Coordinator to serve as part of a team in the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. This position supports parish efforts to develop and/or strengthen comprehensive ministry with youth (middle school and high school aged) and young adults (ages 18-39) and has a particular focus on resourcing, training, and consulting with youth and young adult ministry leaders. Specific responsibilities include: coordinating ministry formation and networking activities for leaders; developing web site and social media outreach; supporting local, collaborative ministry programs; and assisting with development of department programs and events. Requirements include Bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology, pastoral ministry, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three to five years of experience in parish youth ministry, young adult ministry or related pastoral ministry, such as college campus ministry or related parish ministry. Must have an extensive understanding of all stages of adolescence and thorough understanding of the vision, models and methods of comprehensive ministry with these populations. Demonstrated ability and/or understanding of how to plan and conduct such ministry within a Catholic parish is required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
