Youth and Young Adult Ministry Director

Youth and young adult ministry director is sought by the Catholic Diocese of Erie. The director’s primary responsibility is to support the evangelization and catechesis of youth and young adults in the diocese. The director collaborates with a team of other trained professional ministers in religious education and the Catholic schools of the diocese. The director reports to the vicar for education and enjoys significant interaction with and support for the bishop. Review of applications will begin immediately. Project Coordinator, Diocesan Youth Ministry Office

The Office of Youth Ministry in the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge is seeking a full-time project coordinator. Qualified candidates should possess the following: an ability to offer support, training, and formation for adults and young adults who minister to youth in conjunction with the director of youth ministry; experience in parish or diocesan youth ministry programs working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who minister to youth; experience in planning large scale events; a familiarity with Renewing the Vision and its application in youth ministry efforts; computer, technological, phone etiquette, and relational skills; self-motivation and ability to balance multiple tasks. Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry Position

The Diocese of Venice, Florida, is currently searching for a full-time director for the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, including direct leadership of youth minister mentoring and personal spirituality, diocesan youth ministry efforts, youth minister formation and training, and diocesan young adult ministry. The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred, in religious education, theology, youth ministry or some related field, and 3 plus years of experience on the parish or diocesan level. Diocesan Director of Youth Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, and Campus Ministry

The Catholic Diocese of Austin, is searching for a diocesan director of youth ministry, young adult ministry, and campus ministry to begin June 1, 2008. Interviews will begin immediately, until the position is filled. Qualified candidates should possess the following: hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree Catholic theology (or related field), but an M.A. (or M.A. candidate) in Catholic theology (or related field) is preferred from an accredited Catholic institution; have at least three-to-five years of documented parish and/or diocesan ministry experience (and the more diverse experience the better); agreeable to implementing the U.S. bishops’ documents: Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (1997), Sons and Daughters of the Light: A Pastoral Plan for Ministry with Young Adults (1997), and Empowered by the Spirit: Campus Ministry Faces the Future (1986). Possess a working knowledge of the Second Vatican Council documents and understanding of post-Vatican II theology and ecclesiology; must be a fully-initiated practicing Catholic in good standing; must be self-motivated, collaborative, a person of prayer, and possess a strong conviction for youth ministry, young adult ministry, and campus ministry; prepared to work in a variety of ministry settings, must be willing to travel throughout the diocese and beyond, and work some evenings and weekends; fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) a definite plus, but not an absolute. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.
