Ministry Development Coordinator (Diocese of Buffalo)

The Diocese of Buffalo, New York is currently seeking a full-time Ministry Development Coordinator to serve as part of a team in the Department of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. This position supports parish efforts to develop and/or strengthen comprehensive ministry with youth (middle school and high school aged) and young adults (ages 18-39) and has a particular focus on resourcing, training and consulting with youth and young adult ministry leaders. Specific responsibilities include: coordinating ministry formation and networking activities for leaders; developing web site and social media outreach; supporting local, collaborative ministry programs; and assisting with development of department programs and events. Requirements include bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology, pastoral ministry, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three to five years of experience in parish youth ministry, young adult ministry or related pastoral ministry, such as college campus ministry or related parish ministry. Must have an extensive understanding of all stages of adolescence and thorough understanding of the vision, models and methods of comprehensive ministry with these populations. Demonstrated ability and/or understanding of how to plan and conduct such ministry within a Catholic parish is required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Associate Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Sacramento)

The Diocese of Sacramento seeks an innovative, creative, enthusiastic, bridge-builder to form, support, and partner with youth and young adult ministry coordinators to make disciples of Jesus. The Associate Director is tasked with leading a team of Regional Coordinators to create, direct, and maintain ministry to youth (junior high and high school) and young adults (women and men, married and single, in college and in their twenties and thirties) within the diocese, and serve the parishes of the Diocese in the outreach and evangelization to, and pastoral care and faith formation of youth and young adults. Job responsibilities includes supervision of paid professional team, regional and diocesan-wide events and trainings, consulting with parish staffs, and close collaboration with the Campus Ministry, Pastoral Hispana and Vocations offices. The Associate Director supervises a team of two Regional Coordinators. Ideal candidate will also have at least a Bachelor's Degree with formal training in ministry, pastoral ministry and/or catechesis (Master’s Degree preferred), 5 years' experience as a leader in a parish context, a good understanding of Pastoral Juvenil Hispana and Hispanic Movements, experience supervising professional staff and experience in ministry with youth, college students, single adults, and young married couples, the ability to work nights and weekends, and a good understanding of the church in California. A bilingual candidate (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required. This is a full time, salaried exempt position with benefits. Regional Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Sacramento)

The Diocese of Sacramento seeks a passionate, self-starter to form, support, and partner with youth and young adult ministry coordinators to make disciples of Jesus. The Regional Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Sacramento Region) will provide support, training and consultation with parish staffs on youth and young adult ministry and coordinate regional and diocesan youth and young adult ministry events, retreats, and trainings. This position requires travel and evening and weekend availability. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in parish ministry, experience working with youth from diverse cultures and backgrounds, experience coordinating programs for at-risk youth, and experience coordinating large events. Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Savannah)

The Diocese of Savannah has an opening for a Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. This position reports to the Director of Faith Formation and supervises the Coordinator of Hispanic Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the Coordinator of Campus Ministry. The Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry provides consultative services to parishes, coordinates formational and skill training for parish ministry leaders and manages diocesan events that effectively reach out to middle and high school youth and young adults for age appropriate spiritual growth. As a member of the Faith Formation team, this position will assist in training of youth ministers responsible for youth catechesis; participate in departmental planning, development, budget oversight and review. Position requirements are a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred, in a ministry-related field, a minimum of five years’ diocesan experience, strong communication and organizational skills, a high level of computer literacy including the utilization of electronic communication methods and experience in a collaborative environment. This position is only open to a practicing Catholic in good standing. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
