The Diocesan Office for Parish Life is responsible the implementation of the diocesan bishop’s Pastoral Vision for the Church of Scranton, which focuses on servant-leadership and providing assistance to parishes in the areas of Word, Worship, Community and Service. The Diocese is seeking an experienced and skilled individual for the position of Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Archdiocese of Philadelphia)

Oversees events including the Annual Archdiocesan Youth/Family Conference, Annual Archdiocesan Junior High/Family Conference, Regional Events, Youth Work Camp, World Youth Day, NET retreats, March for Life, NCYC, Annual Young Adult Retreat, Theology on Tap, and Service Opportunities for Young Adults. In addition the Director will oversee training in youth ministry including, regular youth ministry gatherings, annual youth minister retreat, support parishes in confirmation preparation, and oversee and pastor Young Adult Ministry team. Other duties include, being present at parishes as appropriate, create and oversee development of websites, provide consultation, serve as liaison, oversee CYO, maintain communications with all parishes, youth ministers, etc. through e-newsletters, and collaborate with other Archdiocesan Offices. Minimum requirements of a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education or comparable theological field, 5 years’ experience in pastoral ministry to youth. Must be a Catholic in good standing. Director, Office of Worship and Sacramental Formation (Archdiocese of Baltimore)

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is in search of a Director, Office of Worship and Sacramental Formation. The Director will serve as a resource to the Archbishop and to diocesan and parish leadership in ensuring that the New Evangelization is the lens through which worship and sacramental formation is viewed. Additional responsibilities include organizing, planning, and directing archdiocesan liturgies; as well as providing formation and resources on liturgical formation. The Director is responsible for working with parishes to provide sacramental catechesis for Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick. He or she is responsible for resourcing parish leadership on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The Director also works to foster participation of the faithful in the Liturgy of the Hours. The best qualified candidate will possess: a graduate degree in theology or a related field; at least 5 years of successful experience in parish sacramental formation and liturgical ministry; experience of collaboration with Catholic schools preferred, and a working knowledge of Spanish. In addition, the successful candidate should be a person of visible and demonstrated faith in the Catholic tradition, have knowledge and understanding of the Church’s liturgical documents, and have experience in and understanding of sacramental, mystagogical, and liturgical catechesis as well as RCIA. Regional Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministry (Diocese of Sacramento)

The Diocese seeks a passionate, self-starter to coordinate youth and young adult ministry in the Northern Counties of the Diocese of Sacramento. Home base of position is in Redding, California. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in parish ministry, experience working with youth in both the Hispanic and Anglo communities, and experience working with rural parishes. A bilingual candidate (English and Spanish) is preferred.
