How do you recognize the symptoms of increased emotional distress that occur following a crisis situation in a young person’s life? This session is designed to help adults develop the skills needed to fashion an appropriate pastoral care response that includes prayer and advocacy, and when necessary, referral to trained professionals. The need to care for the caregivers will also be addressed.

321 Soul Searching:  What Every Adult Needs to Know about The National Study of Youth and Religion

You would be amazed (or maybe not) at what Catholic kids believe about God, church, parents, and their faith. Our teens are experience-rich and language-poor. As ministers, catechists, parents, and educators, it is good for us to know the good and not-so-good news about how our teens know and practice their Catholic faith. Once you hear the news, the question is “What are we going to do about it?”
