Adults Only Workshops

420 Youth Ministry: The Basics

GCCC: D230-232

Does your parish need something to jump-start its ministry program? Do you need some direction to help you move forward? This workshop will help you with the basics of youth ministry by looking at the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops’ (USCCB) document, Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry, by exploring the some best-practices that really work in parishes, and by outlining some first steps that you can take in improving your parish’s youth ministry.

Speaker: Ann Marie Eckert

421 Called to Witness: Fostering a Commitment to Solidarity

GCCC: D233-235

Join Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and youth ministry professionals who attended the recent CRS Called to Witness trip to Ecuador for an interactive presentation that explores how the principles of Catholic social teaching provide a framework for leading young people to a deeper commitment to living their faith. The workshop will give special focus to the principle of solidarity, highlight CRS youth programs and resources available to you and the young people you serve, and offer an opportunity for all of us to share “best practices” in engaging youth in the work of social justice.
